Team Tyndall is passionate about giving back to the community. We welcome non-profit 501 (c)(3) organizations to partner with us and request volunteer support. We are also here to support our members of all ages and stages with financial literacy classes that cover creating a budget, managing debt, or building a financial foundation.

Tyndall Cares Grant Requirements

All Tyndall Cares grants must support non-profit organizations that support community, education, the armed forces, and health and human services.

Tyndall considers requests submitted by major, non-profit organizations classified under Section 501 (c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Service Code. In addition, certain non-profit and municipal, county, state and federal entities are eligible. Requests will not be considered unless the tax-exempt organizations take full, legal, fiscal, and administrative responsibility for the request and disbursement of any granted funds.

Tyndall does not provide funds for:

  • Individuals, including, but not limited to, employees of the grant recipient.
  • Groups or organizations that have as their primary purpose attempting to influence legislation.
  • Grants to primarily benefit employees or families of Tyndall Federal Credit Union, or pay for services, subscriptions, tuition, or memberships.
  • Travel expenses for groups or individuals.
  • National conferences, sporting events, and other one-time events (excluding charitable events).
  • Not to be used for Employee salaries of the organization receiving the grant, and the funds must be used for the specific approved cause.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tyndall's method of payment is via ACH to ensure funds arrive quickly and efficiently to nonprofits. This form is needed in order to deposit the funds and can be found within the application.

At this time, we are not sponsoring sports, cheer, or dance organizations due to the volume of requests we receive. Our areas of focus are education, armed forces, and human/health services.

Tyndall does not provide funds for:

  • Individuals, including, but not limited to, employees of the grant recipient.
  • Groups or organizations that have as their primary purpose attempting to influence legislation.
  • Grants to primarily benefit employees or families of Tyndall Federal Credit Union, or to pay for services, subscriptions, tuition, or memberships.

  • Team sponsorships and athletic scholarships are not permissible.

We welcome applications from organizations that provide free medical, mental health, and human services that focus on improving the quality of life for individuals and communities. Eligible organizations are typically those that support vulnerable populations, such as but not limited to low-income individuals, the elderly, and those with disabilities.

Yes, we sponsor non-profits that focus on animal welfare, but they must be an established 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals in need.

Community Grant applications will open in July and remain open through the first Friday in October. These grants will fund projects in the following year. If you are requesting funding for the current year, please refer to our Friend Grants.
