The maximum you can withdraw from an ATM is $500 in 24 hours. This limit includes any 'cash back' amount you may have received at a point-of-sale terminal during that time period.
No. If you have more than one member number with Tyndall, you will have a different debit card (or ATM card) to access each one. You must use the card that is specific to the member number to which you are making the deposit.
You can, however, deposit the funds to the account of one member number at the ATM, and then transfer part of the funds to your other member number through Online Banking or Mobile Banking. Please note that if you deposit checks, the funds may not be immediately available for transfer.
No. The machines cannot accept coins.
As monthly payments are made, the savings balance will increase (available balance will remain the same). This hold does not affect additional funds that are on deposit in the savings account.
If you are paying from an account at another financial institution, you will need the routing number and account number for your account at the other financial institution. If you are using a debit or credit card, you will need the card number, expiration date, and security code.
Yes. Before you accept the deposit, you can cancel the transaction by pressing the 'Cancel' button on the keypad.
You can pay off your loan through this service if your payoff balance is $2,000 or less. Please be sure you know your full payoff balance.

You may skip your Tyndall loan payment on the following types of loans:
- Auto
- Credit Card
- Boat
- Motorcycle
- RV
- Personal Signature
- Line of Credit
Note, you must have made the previous month's payment before skipping a payment. Eligible loans can be skipped up to 10 days after the due date. However, if automatic payments are set from a non-Tyndall Financial Institution, your loan is skip-eligible 10 days before the payment due date.
The amount of money you can send, as well as the frequency, is set by each participating financial institution. To determine Tyndall Federal Credit Union send limits, call us at 850-769-9999.
There are no limits to the amount of money you can receive with Zelle®. However, remember that the person sending you money will most likely have limits set by their own financial institution on the amount of money they can send you.
In order to use Zelle®, the sender and recipient's bank or credit union accounts must be based in the U.S.
Our Skip-a-Payment process is handled 100% through Online & Mobile Banking. If you want to skip your payment, you must submit a Skip-a-Payment in Online or Mobile Banking. If you are not registered for Online or Mobile Banking, please follow these instructions to sign up.

You may not see your loan because of one of the following reasons:
- The skip request window has passed. Eligible loans can be skipped up to 10 days after the due date. However, if automatic payments are set from a non-Tyndall Financial Institution, your loan is skip-eligible 10 days before the payment due date. In order to allow time for processing, this deadline is enforced. If you are already past this deadline, please make your payment, and you can skip the next month.
- Your payment is too far ahead. If your loan payment is paid too far ahead, the loan is ineligible to be skipped due to regulatory limitations.
- You recently skipped a payment. If you just skipped your loan payment, you will not see the loan eligible for a consecutive Skip-a-Payment until the due date has advanced.
- It is your first loan payment. If this is your first loan payment, the loan payment is ineligible to be skipped. In addition, your loan must have been booked 46 or more days ago.
- Your loan was opened with a promotion. If you booked your loan under a 90 Days No Payments promotion, the loan is ineligible to be skipped until after the 12 payments have been made.
- Your account or loan is not in good standing. If you have a bankruptcy on record, the loan is ineligible to be skipped. Your accounts and loans must be in good standing.
- You have an approved loan deferment. If you have applied and were approved for a loan deferment, please note that this counts in the total amount of payments that can be skipped per year.
- Your loan type is not eligible. Real Estate Loans, Home Equity and HELOC Loans, Mobile Home Loans, Workout Loans, Courtesy Pay Loans, Credit Builder Loans, and Account Secured Loans are ineligible to be skipped.
Sometimes, when you use your card at a gas pump, the merchant will pre-authorize your card to make sure you have the funds available. They do this because you tap/swipe/insert your card before the merchant knows how much you will actually end up spending on gas. In fact, some gas stations will even do the opposite; they will only authorize $1. Don't worry. When the transaction is processed, your account will be charged the amount you actually spent.

In general, the hold policy should be the same, whether you are making the deposit by ATM or in person.
You may see a difference, however, if you are depositing a payroll check. In the branch, we generally do not place a hold on a recognizable payroll check. The ATM, however, cannot make that distinction. If you need to ensure that you have immediate credit for a deposit, please take the check inside and speak with a Tyndall representative.
Yes, the ATMs are ADA-compliant. However, if you need to use the voice instructions, you must provide your own headphones.

Neither Tyndall Federal Credit Union nor Zelle® offers purchase protection for payments made with Zelle® – for example, if you do not receive the item you paid for, or the item is not as described or as you expected. Only send money to people and small businesses you trust and always ensure you've used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number when sending money.
Your loan suffix is a 2-digit number that appears at the top of your account statement, as well as above the loan information on that statement. If it is a credit card statement, the loan suffix appears after the member number at the top of the statement.
You may also find your loan suffix in Online or Mobile Banking. In your Account Summary under Loans, your Account Number is listed (Examples: -01, -43, -64, etc).
Tyndall Federal Credit Union does not charge fees to send or receive money with Zelle®, but there is a fee to cancel a Zelle® transaction that is still pending because the recipient hasn't yet enrolled. A credit union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution that provides the same everyday banking services you find at a bank. Instead of distributing profits to shareholders, a credit union reinvests earnings into delivering greater value for its members through competitive rates, helpful services, and personalized support.
Members are often connected based on where they live, work, worship, volunteer, or an affiliated organization. Once you become a member, you are also an owner, giving you a voice in the credit union and a financial partner focused on helping you reach your goals.

Since money is sent directly from your bank account to another person's bank account within minutes, 1 Zelle® should only be used to send money to friends, family, and others you know and trust.
If you don't know the person or aren't sure you will get what you paid for (for example, items bought from an online bidding or sales site), you should not use Zelle®. These transactions are potentially high risk (just like sending cash to a person you don't know is high risk).
You'll want to have the following information handy:
- your Tyndall member number,
- your loan suffix,
- the primary borrower's date of birth,
- the last four digits of the primary borrower's Social Security Number,
- a valid email address, and
- the zip code on your account.

Sending to a Zelle® tag is just like sending to a recipient's email address or U.S. mobile number. Find Zelle® in your mobile banking app, click "Send," and from the "Select Recipient" screen, type the recipient's Zelle® tag. Then, enter the amount, hit "Send," and the money is on the way. There are a few reasons that you may not be able to see your loans in the Web Payments Center.
- Loans are registered under the name of the primary borrower and cannot be viewed under the name and information of any joint borrower. Please make sure you are logging in with the primary borrower's information.
- If you have opened a new loan since you originally registered, your new loan will not appear. You must re-register in the Web Payments Center to have access to the new loan. Your old account will be deactivated.
- A loan must be in good standing to be accessed.
- We must have a valid mailing address on your account. Please log in to Online or Mobile Banking and verify/update the address on record.
No. Deposit slips are not necessary and should NOT be used. These high-tech ATMs instantly itemize and calculate each deposit automatically.
There is no monthly service fee for Courtesy Pay; you are only assessed a fee when you use it. If your account is never overdrawn, you never pay a fee for Courtesy Pay.
Each time Courtesy Pay is used, you are assessed a small Courtesy Pay Fee (refer to the current Rate & Fee Schedule for fee amount). There is a maximum of five (5) Paid NSF Fees per day.
If you have not used the service before, you will have to register to set up your account on the Web Payments Center. If you have already registered, log in.
If you can't remember your username or password, you need to set up a new account on the Web Payments Center. Your previous account will be automatically deactivated.

If your payment is due on the 15th of the month, for example, please schedule the payment to be made on the 13th of the month. You can only cancel a payment if the person you sent money to hasn't yet enrolled with Zelle®. To check whether the payment is still pending because the recipient hasn't yet enrolled, you can go to your activity page, choose the payment you want to cancel, and then select "Cancel This Payment." If you do not see this option available, please contact us at 850-769-9999 for assistance with canceling the pending payment.
If the person you sent money to has already enrolled with Zelle® through their bank or credit union's Mobile Banking app or Online Banking, the money is sent directly to their bank account and cannot be canceled. This is why it's important to only send money to people you know and trust, and always ensure you've used the correct email address or U.S. mobile number when sending money.
If you sent money to the wrong person, please immediately call us at 850-769-9999 to determine what options are available.

Please review the check that was returned to ensure that it was written properly for deposit. The most common reasons for rejection at the ATM are:
- The check is not signed on the front or not signed on the back,
- The check does not have a valid date on it,
- The check amount written on the 'legal' line does not match the amount written in the box,
- The check is damaged or unreadable,
- The background design of the check may be too "busy" for the machine to read the words on the check, or
- The check was printed on a home printer; the routing number and account number were not printed with magnetic (MICR) ink.
The Credit Builder loan reports as a secured installment loan.
Yes. You may select your regular payment amount, or you may enter any payment amount you choose, up to a maximum of $2,000 per transaction.

You will receive confirmation on your screen "Your check has been deposited." Additional deposit status details will be emailed to the primary account holder's email address on file.

Usually, the original or a certified copy of the death certificate is needed. If you are an executor or next of kin, you may also need to provide identification and legal documentation, such as a certified copy of the Letters of Administration, Informal Order, or Summary Administration.
Once notified and after verification, the accounts are frozen to prevent unauthorized transactions. Funds are distributed according to account ownership (e.g., joint ownership, payable-on-death beneficiaries) or by instructions from the estate's legal representative.
If you are a joint owner, you typically retain full access to the account. However, once the account is maintained (with proper documents), we can update our records, and the account may be re-titled in your name.
Yes. All Direct Deposits should be reviewed. Direct Deposits (such as Social Security payments) should be stopped and may need to be returned, depending on the date received relative to the date of death.
Any outstanding loans or credit cards under the deceased member's name become part of the estate. The estate is responsible for paying them off. If there are co-signers or joint owners, they may become fully responsible. Any available funds will be applied to the outstanding debt.
Only individuals with legal authority, such as an executor or administrator of the estate, can access detailed account information.
You can fill out a request form or call us at 850-769-9999 for guidance.
Dividends or interest earned before the date of death will be included in the estate. Earnings after the date of death may also be included until the account is closed or transferred.
If a Social Security payment was returned in error after the member's passing, the estate or beneficiaries must contact the Social Security Administration (SSA) directly. We cannot reclaim or reissue these funds on your behalf. The executor or next of kin should:
- Call the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213 or
- Visit your local SSA office.
Tyndall does not have any safety deposit boxes as of January 2018. Any safety deposit box before January 2018 would have been serviced by the account owner at that time.
If a minor is named as a beneficiary, funds may be held in trust or released to a court-appointed guardian, depending on state laws and credit union policy.
If there is no Will (the estate is "intestate"), state laws will determine how assets are distributed. The court will appoint an administrator to handle the estate, and we will release funds according to legal instructions provided by the court.
Yes. However, we won't be able to provide the payment amount unless you have been named as the executor or personal representative of the member's estate. For mortgages and other real estate loans, you may apply to become the Successor in Interest on the loan.
Tyndall's method of payment is via ACH to ensure funds arrive quickly and efficiently to nonprofits. This form is needed in order to deposit the funds and can be found within the application.
At this time, we are not sponsoring sports, cheer, or dance organizations due to the volume of requests we receive. Our areas of focus are education, armed forces, and human/health services.
Tyndall does not provide funds for:
- Individuals, including, but not limited to, employees of the grant recipient.
- Groups or organizations that have as their primary purpose attempting to influence legislation.
- Grants to primarily benefit employees or families of Tyndall Federal Credit Union, or to pay for services, subscriptions, tuition, or memberships.
- Travel expenses for groups or individuals.
- National conferences, sporting events, and other one-time events (excluding charitable events).
- Not to be used for employee salaries of the organization receiving the grant, and the funds must be used for the specific approved cause.
- Team sponsorships and athletic scholarships are not permissible.
We welcome applications from organizations that provide free medical, mental health, and human services that focus on improving the quality of life for individuals and communities. Eligible organizations are typically those that support vulnerable populations, such as but not limited to low-income individuals, the elderly, and those with disabilities.
Yes, we sponsor non-profits that focus on animal welfare, but they must be an established 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals in need.
Community Grant applications will open in July and remain open through the first Friday in October. These grants will fund projects in the following year. If you are requesting funding for the current year, please refer to our Friend Grants.

A Home Equity loan lets you borrow money by using the equity in your home as collateral. Equity is the difference between your home's market value and the amount you still owe on your mortgage.
A Home Equity loan gives you a lump sum upfront with a fixed interest rate and fixed monthly payments. A HELOC works like a credit card: you can borrow as needed during a draw period, and payments may vary.
Common uses include home improvements, debt consolidation, medical expenses, swimming pool, A/C units, or other major purchases.
To qualify for a Home Equity loan, Tyndall reviews key factors like your credit score, income, debt-to-income ratio, home value, and how much equity you have in your home.
The Relationship Reward is a reward for members who meet certain criteria, designed to thank you for your loyalty to Tyndall Federal Credit Union.
To qualify, maintain an active Tyndall Checking account, make 5 monthly card transactions, receive a monthly deposit of $500 or more, and be enrolled in Paperless Statements within the same month.
You will only receive a reward for each month in which your account remains active and all qualifying requirements are met.
Yes, you can enhance your Relationship Reward by completing additional categories — Save, Borrow, and Live.
Yes, you must be a Tyndall member, and accounts must be in good standing to qualify for the reward.
You must have your current address on all accounts to receive your deposit.
Each time you make an eligible Debit card purchase, the transaction is rounded up, and the extra change is automatically transferred into your Savings account.
Round‑ups are typically small amounts, but they do reduce your Checking account balance slightly.
All Debit card purchases qualify for round-up savings. ATM withdrawals, refunds, and transfers are excluded.
Below are the most common disputes and what you can expect.
- An item you received: First, attempt to return the item. Items returned to a merchant should include a tracking number, shipping company name, date of return, and the address where the package was sent.
- Recurring billing or a subscription service: If the service has not been canceled according to your agreement with the merchant, you will need to cancel the service. When you cancel, document the date/time of cancellation, the cancellation number and details of how you canceled, or keep your cancellation confirmation message from the merchant.
- Double-billing or incorrect amounts: Provide your receipt.
- Non-receipt of merchandise or services: If the order is not received by the expected date in your order, then you must contact the merchant before filing the claim with us. If a date is not specified, you must wait 15 calendar days after the order date before filing a dispute.
- A refund not being posted to your account: You must provide the refund receipt for your claim. Without the receipt, we cannot file a claim on your behalf.
You will receive a claim confirmation in one of the following ways:
- If you submitted via Online or Mobile Banking or Tyndall.org: You'll receive an email confirming your document has been completed
- If you submitted a claim by phone: A representative will give you a claim number and send a DocuSign form to sign electronically. Once it's completed, you'll receive an email confirmation that the document has been completed.
- If you submitted a claim in a Tyndall branch: A representative can provide your claim number and, if requested, a paper copy of your claim document.
- Debit Card Claims:
The investigation typically takes up to 10 business days. If the investigation takes more than 10 days, you will receive provisional credit for the disputed amount. The claim will be resolved no later than 90 days after filing. - Credit Card Claims:
The initial review can take up to 30 days. If additional time is required, Tyndall may take up to two billing cycles to finish, but member is not required to pay the disputed amount during the investigation.

- Point-of-sale debit card transactions
- Transactions initiated outside the U.S.
- New accounts (opened within the last 30 days)

Transfer Between Banks is a feature that allows you to transfer funds from your Tyndall accounts to an outside financial institution or from another financial institution into your Tyndall account quickly and easily.
For all standard transfers, there is no fee. For next day transfers, there will be a $10.00 fee.
According to Regulation D, you may not make more than six "convenient" transfers or withdrawals from one of these accounts to your Checking account or to a third party in a calendar month. "Convenient" transfers/withdrawals are those that are pre-authorized, automated, or telephone transfers/withdrawals. These include transactions completed through Online or Mobile Banking, Overdraft Protection, ACH/EFT, and Bill Pay.
Transactions completed via the Member Care Center (or Tyndall representative) are also restricted, whether the request is by phone, fax, or email, unless the funds are withdrawn in the form of a check mailed to the member.
If you have already reached your Regulation D limit for the month, any other withdrawals or transfers that would be considered Regulation D transactions would be declined, including automatic overdraft transfers. You would have to complete further Regulation D transactions for that month in person, at an ATM, or by mail.
No, not if you have already reached your Regulation D limit for the month. If you have another overdraft source set up in addition to your Savings, we will try to pay the overdraft through that source instead. However, if you do not have any other account or loan set up as an Overdraft Protection source, the transaction will be declined, and applicable merchant fees may also apply.
Regulation D (Reg D) is a federal law that limits the number of certain types of withdrawals and transfers that you can make from particular deposit accounts.
All financial institutions are subject to this regulation; it is not unique to Tyndall.
Tyndall's Savings accounts that are affected by this regulation are Regular Share, Money Market, and Club Accounts. These are considered 'non-transaction' accounts, which means they are primarily used for "saving" and, therefore, should not have regular, frequent withdrawals. The initial intention of the regulation is to discourage people from using a basic savings account as a source for their everyday banking needs.
Tyndall Checking accounts are not limited by this regulation, as they are considered 'transaction' accounts and are expected to have heavy usage.
Transactions that are not limited by Regulation D are those that are not considered "convenient," including withdrawals or transfers made in person at a branch, at an ATM, or by mail (with an original signature).
In addition, transfers that are made from the Savings account to a Tyndall loan are not restricted.
Yes. The main point to remember is that you should use your Checking account, rather than your Savings account, for your Direct Deposit, scheduled/automated transfers, ACH transactions, etc., as the Regulation D restrictions do not apply to Checking accounts.
Finally, we recommend you set up other Overdraft Protection sources, such as your Tyndall Credit Card or Line of Credit, in addition to using your Savings account, so you have an alternative source in place in the event you have reached your Regulation D limit on your Savings.
To find out how many transactions you have had this month, speak with a Tyndall representative at a branch or call our Member Care Center at 850-769-9999 (888-896-3255, toll-free). You may also log in to Online or Mobile Banking, review your Savings account history, and count the number of withdrawals and transfers made during the month. At this time, there is no Regulation D "counter" tool.
The only time that a "convenient" transfer will not count as a Regulation D transaction is if you are transferring funds to pay a Tyndall loan.
